From One Sleepless Night to 50,000 Better Mornings

It was 3:47 AM when Sarah Chen, a software engineer and mom of two, found herself googling "why can't I turn my brain off at night" for the hundredth time.

She partnered with her college roommate, Dr. Michelle Torres, a nutritional biochemist who'd been researching natural sleep compounds. Together, they spent 18 months in Michelle's kitchen, testing hundreds of chocolate formulations.

"We must have made 300 batches," Michelle laughs. "My husband started calling our kitchen 'the chocolate lab.' We'd test each batch on ourselves, keeping detailed sleep journals. Most were disasters – either they didn't work, or they tasted terrible, or both."

The Perfect Square

Batch #317 changed everything.

Sarah took one square at 10 PM while answering emails. By 10:45, she noticed something different – her usual mental chatter was... quieter. She went to bed at 11 and fell asleep within minutes. When her alarm went off at 6:30 AM, she actually felt rested.

"I texted Michelle at 6:31 AM: 'WE DID IT!'"

From Kitchen to Company

Word spread quickly. First to other moms in Sarah's co-working space. Then to Michelle's research colleagues. Soon, they were hand-wrapping chocolate squares in Sarah's garage, fulfilling orders from a simple website Sarah coded herself.

"Those early customers saved us," Sarah says. "They'd email us their stories – the teacher who stopped dreading Monday mornings, the nurse who could finally sleep after night shifts, the CEO who threw away her Ambien. We knew we had something special."
